After discovering the benefits of yoga Lacey Fisher wanted to continue sharing the gifts of yoga with her local community. Her classes are filled with her knowledge and enthusiasm of how yoga – supports the well-being of a person – physically, mentallyl, and spiritually. Lacey creates space for practitioners to learn, grow, and explore their mind/body connection during each practice. She also allows time for strength building and workshop moments in her classes so that students can become more comfortable with advanced principles and practices over time. Lacey integrates internal points of perspective and independent study opportunities into her classes so that students can begin to feel more comfort in their own bodies on and off the mat.
Shortly following the completion of her yoga certification, Lacey was immediately introduced and immersed into the practice of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. She was taught the Ashtanga lineage from her fellow yoga cohorts, and went on to attend workshops with Ty Landrum at The Yoga Workshop in Boulder, Colorado (A Richard Freeman studio). Once established in the Tacoma area, Lacey began apprenticing and studying a nontraditional approach to Ashtanga Yoga under Troy Lucero (Acme Yoga Project) in Seattle, Washington. Since getting certified in Yin Yoga, Lacey also enjoys bringing awareness to the concepts of the energetic body, specifically in the form of meridian theory and the seven major chakras. Each of her classes are designed to bring safe and accessible yoga to each practitioner, while integrating philosophy, theory, and spirituality into each class.
