Kundalini Yoga - Kundalini Yoga (the yoga of awareness) combines movement, sound current, breath and meditation to relax and heal your mind and body, allowing the spirit to flow freely. Kundalini Yoga brings a greater feeling of well-being and happiness - our natural birthright as humans. This powerful and effective form of Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, Ph.D., Master of Kundalini Yoga, is a great way to recharge and heal your body quickly. This practice stimulates the nervous and immune systems, while improving strength and flexibility, it centers the mind and opens the spirit. From your very first class, you'll reap the rewards including-- relief from back pain, stress, addiction, depression and insomnia, as well as weight control. Kundalini Yoga promises you peace of mind. Open to all levels of practitioners.
Pre(post)natal Yoga - This class offers pregnant women and new moms a complete system for total health and well being of the body, mind and emotions. It relieves many of the common discomforts of pregnancy such as backaches, sciatica, fatigue, insomnia, and more. The postures increase flexibility, circulation and stamina; help the mind focus and the body/mind release tension and stress. Prenatal yoga also enables women to connect to their deeper breathing patterns, a vital skill when in labor and delivery as well as postpartum. Most of all, this class brings moms to be and new moms together in a supportive community.
Yoga Pilates Fusion - This class is an integration of the principles of Pilates with the meditative focus of Hatha Yoga. The Pilates mat work, with an emphasis on core strengthening, breath awareness, and alignment serve as a warm-up to the spine and core muscles for the standing and balance postures of yoga. These two disciplines merged within one practice bring strength, flexibility, and symmetry to the body, as well as the ability to quiet and relax the body and the mind. This class is suitable for students of all levels.
Private or Semi-private Yoga Practice - The study of yoga began as a dialogue between teacher and student. We honor that tradition by offering Private Yoga for individual students or small groups (up to 3 students). Private sessions are a great way to meet your individual needs for body-mind health, relaxation and stress management. Whether you are brand-new to yoga, have a physical condition that needs special attention or you would just like to have a specialized consultation regarding your personal yoga practice we highly recommend private sessions. Your private class may take place in our studio or in your own home or workplace. Contact us for information and scheduling.
Community Yoga - Community Yoga is a way for us to offer the amazing benefits of yoga to anyone who wishes to practice. There are no set fees. You can make a donation, use your punch cards or unlimited memberships. Donation yoga allows anyone to try classes without making a commitment and allows students to donate whatever is appropriate for them on that day for that class. Yoga by donation provides an opportunity for students to cultivate some fundamental yogic qualities, which are essential for personal growth and transformation.
