Intro to Yoga – 6 week series - Take a first step into the practice of yoga. These six 75-minute classes are taught in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.  Each class builds upon the previous, allowing time for discussion and modifications. We clearly and methodically introduce principles of alignment, languaging, some yoga philosophy and breath-work, always focusing on creating a safe, solid understanding of the practice.  This class is offered for beginners and for those with a beginner's heart. The series may be repeated.

Yoga Fundamentals - Yoga Fundamentals is a traditional Hatha Yoga practice. In this class, you will begin to build the foundation for your yoga practice and receive individualized attention as you gain flexibility, strength, and balance.  In each Fundamentals class you will explore specific alignment of asanas (yoga poses)  and asana sequences including standing, seated, backbends and simple sun salutations as well as the relationship of movement and breath. Yogic breathing, or pranyama, meditation and relaxation techniques will also be introduced, perfect for stress relief and overall well-being – No experience necessary.

Open - All Levels - These classes are designed to be suitable for seasoned beginners as well as experienced yogis.  Modifications are offered to allow you to increase or decrease the level of intensity as desired. The study of more advance poses begins. You experience a gentle combination of static Hatha yoga postures as well as flowing Vinyasa sequences and deep relaxation techniques.  All level classes offer you a complete, well-rounded practice. Students are encouraged to work at their own level. Not meant to be a first-ever yoga practice.

Vinyasa Yoga - Enjoy the powerful linking of movement and breath as this class moves you into more highly refined and playful sequencing. You will explore new asanas (postures) and dynamic movement and expand your boundaries. Dive deeper into the practice, cultivating higher awareness, and a stronger sense of connection to yourself and your life. For those with an established asana practice.

Yin Yang Yoga: Yin/Yang Yoga provides the benefits of a balanced practice of Yin and Yang styles of yoga. The Yin style of long-held passive poses opens the body to more flexibility and chi flow through the subtle channels while also engendering a more contemplative, non-reactive quality of mind. A more active, dynamic, Yang style of vinyasa will follow, strengthening and invigorating the body and mind. Each class will conclude with meditation.Open to all levels of practitioners.
